Set up in 2020, Pilton's Pride Group is our school’s group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Gender Questioning students, their friends, allies and anyone who has any questions about their gender or sexual orientation.
Our group meets two lunchtimes per week in A6. Students bring their packed lunches, chat with friends and receive support when necessary from the group organisers Mr Higgs and Ms Robinson. Sometimes we run educational trips and have visitors to our meetings from outside support agencies. We also host events and inform our members about local youth groups and Pride events.
We are proud that Pilton encourages a whole school approach to LGBTQ+ inclusion as well as developing strategies to challenge and combat LGBTQ+ phobic bullying.
