Planting for Biodiversity

Jun 08, 2026

This half term our Year 7 and 8 Eco Club students took part in Planting for Biodiversity sessions on the school farm, as part of the Great Big Green Week initiative.

Armed with trowels, forks and watering cans, they planted hundreds of plants including sunflowers,  marigolds, dahlias, pumpkins and curly kale. Our students also learnt about the importance of biodiversity and encouraging pollinating insects to a garden.

Well done to all involved!
