Outstanding Athletics Success for Pilton Students!
Following on from our recent athletics post, we'd like to say a huge congratulations to Isla, Jack and Ryley, who proudly represented Devon at the South West Schools' Athletics Championships on 20 June.
Ryley finished as the second Devon athlete across the line in the Junior Boys' 300m, securing an impressive 8th place overall.
Jack was also the second Devon athlete to finish the Junior Boys' 1500m, placing 11th overall. He then went on to achieve an outstanding 5th place in the Triple Jump, making him the highest-placed Devon athlete in the event.
Isla produced a fantastic performance to win the Intermediate Girls' 1500m, earning the title of South West Schools' Athletics Champion! As a result, she has been selected to represent the South West at the English Schools' Athletics Championships, taking place at the Alexander Stadium at the beginning of July.
We are incredibly proud of all three students for their dedication, determination and fantastic achievements. We wish Isla the very best of luck as she competes on the national stage this month!
