It was fantastic to welcome award-winning author and 'Queen of Teen', Tamsin Winter, for our first online author talk in quite some time, organised in partnership with Barnstaple Library.
Students enjoyed hearing about Tamsin's bestselling books, including I Dare You, Bad Influence and more, as she explored the thought-provoking themes at the heart of her writing, from social media and misinformation to body image, bullying and friendship.
The session also included a lively Q&A, giving students the chance to ask Tamsin about her books, writing journey and creative inspiration. To top it all off, a number of lucky students received signed copies of her latest book!
Events like this are exactly what we hope to make a regular feature of our newly revamped library once it's complete – creating even more opportunities to inspire a lifelong love of reading and connect our students with incredible authors.
