This term our Year 11 GCSE Art students have been really lucky to spend some workshop time with photographer Carole Evans. Over a couple of sessions, Carole came i to lessons to teach students how to capture professional portrait-style photographers and not just 'selfies'. Students got to explore studio key lighting, low light and natural light set ups with digital SLR cameras. Once the best portraits had been printed, students then got the chance to draw and stitch into their portraits, exploring the question 'What one word captures being a young adult in 2025?
