This week, selected Year 6 pupils from across the Barnstaple learning community came together to take part in Day 1 of the BPSS Rising Stars Programme. Held at the Tarka Leisure Centre, the talented athletes got the opportunity to receive expert tuition in gymnastics and football from Falcons Academy and FC Devon coaches. Year 9 Sports Leaders from both Pilton and Park Secondary Schools were on hand to assist the coaches as part of their Sports Leadership Academy training. The weather was fantastic, behaviour was impeccable and we look forward to Day 2 in the Spring Term.
