Students from Pilton walked to the Pannier Market in town on Thursday to visit the Museum of the Moon exhibition as part of their Science and History topics.
The exhibition had a 7-meter diameter model of the moon featuring incredible detail from photographs taken from the Apollo moon missions and satellites. Students read about the formation of the moon and how far the astronauts had to travel from the Earth to the Moon and back. Using what they learned, they will be continuing their studies on the gravitational pull of the moon and the effects this has on the Earth.
