Last Friday the Year 11 Strive Academy visited the Parker Hannifin factory in Barnstaple where they design and manufacture small-bore instrumentation tube fitting and process-to-instrument values for oil, gas chemical, PowerGen and other processing and laboratory applications. The students were given a very informative talk by Project Manager Nick Holton, a former Pilton student who has been all over the world with Parker and through them has gained a degree and is currently working on his masters. He explained the Higher Degree Apprenticeships available at Parker and gave the students a tour of the factory's state-of-the-art facilities.
