Former student Luke Mahoney is continuing his cycling success after winning the M2 category at the Special Olympics Cyclocross World Championships in Hamburg recently. After winning his category for the last two years, this was Luke's first international race, the first time the World Championships had been held outside the UK and the first time that Luke had raced in snow! Thanks to a brilliant ride, despite the freezing snow, Luke is now a Special Olympics Cyclocross World Champion for the third time! Go Luke!
