Our Pilton Sports Leaders were on hand at Tarka yesterday to help Year 6 pupils from local primary schools at a Rising Stars PE day, an event which supports gifted and talented students in our community to reach their potential in sport. Participants enjoyed two hours of gymnastics in the morning and two hours of tennis in the afternoon. All had fun, learning new skills and working with other students from different schools.
As a bonus, we were lucky enough to have a chat with Adam Tobin, who was training in the gym at the time. Adam is on the GB gymnastics team, has won numerous international medals and is hoping to go to the Olympics next year. A great inspiration!
