There’s been much excitement from space enthusiasts around the school at the loan from NASA of a rock collection which is literally out of this world. Visiting Year 5 pupils and our own Year 7 students have been handling and identifying some of the rocks and learning how the moon rock samples were collected during four different Apollo missions, how meteorites are rocks from outer space which pre-date any Earth rocks and impactite is a unique rock that is formed from earth rock when it is hit by a meteorite.
