Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Pilton Community College from the Headteacher.

We are a successful 11-16 mixed comprehensive school whose student-centred philosophy demonstrates our commitment to enabling every student to achieve their potential by fostering a culture where students believe that success is for all.

GH Oct 22We have a strong ethos based on traditional values which underpin everything that we do. Our high expectations positively reinforce the highest standards of learning and behaviour at all times and encourage students to show respect for themselves, others, and the world around them. The development of positive relationships and student ownership of all aspects of school life are essential ingredients that make Pilton Community College special.

We believe that:

”Your character and attitudes to others will determine your success in life alongside your academic qualifications.” Steve Jobs

The opportunities and support that we provide enable our students to develop these key characteristics and become confident young people who contribute to our local community

WHAT PARENTS SAY...

"You have given our kids every possible opportunity to get out of the classroom, try new things, take part in competitions and represent the school - thank you."

"Seeing my kids and others thrive, learn about life and grow at Pilton is fantastic. All the extra effort and the teachers that go over above the call of duty does not go unmissed. THANK YOU."

"We chose Pilton as we were confident that the team would treat mental health concerns, bullying and neurodiversity with the individual care and attention that they deserve (without over indulging the child or singling them out) and we have been extremely relieved that this has been the case."

"There is a nurturing environment and emphasis on character and values."

"I would like to complement the Heads of Year. Excellent engagement with my child has led to increased happiness and performance."

"My daughter always loves learning even if it is difficult. For her, school is a safe environment and she trusts the teachers massively."
