Art/Design & Technology Technician

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic Art/Design and Technology technician.

The main purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Art and DT by supporting the department, students and wider school staff with the preparation and pre-lesson arrangements, ensuring equipment is ready to use, all appropriate checks are done and maintenance schedules are adhered to. You must be organised and be a confident communicator.

The postholder will need to posses a supportive approach. It would be helpful if the successful candidate has had experience of working in a school environment but this is not essential.

Salary: NJC Grade C - £19,264 - £20,043 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a part-time, permanent position working 17 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Monday - Friday 3:30-4:30pm hours and days to be discussed at interview)

Cleaner

 

We are looking to recruit part-time cleaners. The successful candidate should have cleaning experience (although full training is provided). We are seeking persons who are hardworking and reliable.

 

Salary: NJC Grade A - £18,333 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: These are part-time, permanent positions working 10 hours per week, 41 weeks per year

These are part-time, permanent positions, working a maximum of 17.5 hours per week (3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday 3.20pm – 6.50pm). 10 hours per week positions are also available. The contracts are for 41 weeks, which includes a week’s clean in the Easter holidays and a 2 week clean in the summer holidays.

The successful candidates will be working in a team of other cleaners and will be line managed by our Cleaning Supervisor.

You will have the responsibility for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in our buildings through daily duties. These duties will include vacuuming, sweeping, and washing floors, dusting and polishing, cleaning lavatories and removing rubbish.

Salary: NJC Grade D - £20,444 - £22,571 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)


Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

 

The post holder will be responsible for covering the absence of colleagues in order to achieve the highest possible standards.

 

The post holder will contribute towards the learning of students by:

 

  • Supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring that students carry out the work that has been set by the teacher or by another member of that teaching team

  • Ensuring students are given access to the best possible learning experience

  • Registering tutor groups when teachers are absent - reading to the tutor group and/or attending assembly when necessary

  • Reporting back to absent teachers on the progress of the lesson to ensure students have equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop

  • Being aware of, and complying with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection

  • Building positive relationships for learning with all students

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Be confident in delivering the cover work set by the class teacher in all subjects - and is quick to ask questions for clarification when uncertain

  • Ensure that students’ high-quality learning continues in the temporary absence of their teacher

  • Maintain positive relationships among students, safeguarding their health and safety and using the school systems to provide praise, and to protect learning

Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking to recruit two part-time, permanent Kitchen Assistants to work Monday to Friday, 1:15pm to 2:45pm, during term time (plus 10 hours to be worked in the summer and Easter holiday).
