Engineers solve problems

Year 7 students have been recognising Engineering Week this week by taking part in some fun lunchtime challenges to get them thinking like engineers. The aim of the challenges was to help students realise that engineers solve problems and make things work and that the world needs more engineers to solve big problems like climate change. Challenges included building cardboard towers, constructing bridges strong enough to carry a toy car, designing ballon-powered cars and creating egg parachutes. There are definitely some future engineers in Year 7!
