Energy Quest engineering

Year 8 students all took part in a STEM 'Energy Quest' workshop this week. The workshop involved finding out about what engineers do and the variety of careers that engineering can lead to. Teams then competed to engineer an electric car to travel the correct distance into a central zone. The teams worked really hard with lots of great engineering skills shown, such as problem-solving and resilience. Some students are now completing Shell's Bright Ideas Challenge to develop an idea that will solve the problem of producing electricity sustainably.
