Big Bang success

Mr Hill has received a congratulatory letter from Beth Elgood from Big Bang Education following our students’ success in the Go4SET challenge earlier this year. Mentored by Jenny Challenger from Energy 361, the Years 8 and 9 students had to create an Eco-hotel, along with a written report and then present their project along with many other schools at Plymouth University, The team won the award for Best Project and have been fast-tracked through into the Big Bang finals in Birmingham.

Mr Goodland has exciting plans for a Big Bang STEM Fair in school in the Spring of next year. The fair will involve a science show, as well as hands-on STEM activities and stands with local STEM businesses.

If you would like to help organise this or simply share your ideas and experience with this kind of event, Mr Goodland would be delighted to hear from you at pgoodland@piltoncollege
