Extra-Curricular Activities …
For Activity details click here Whilst our aim is to provide a sound, broad curriculum for all pupils, we also provide opportunities for a wide range of activities undertaken outside normal College sessions and hours. Many pupils interested in developing their understanding of computers fill the computer rooms every lunchtime and after school as well. Our multimedia language suite allows pupils the opportunity to develop and extend their existing foreign language skills or to learn a completely new language. The Library is also used before school, every lunchtime and after school; the use of all these areas is actively encouraged.

The School can organise musical instrument tuition in school time through a range of peripatetic staff. In most cases, parents will pay tuition fees at the beginning of term direct to the member of staff. Pupils having these lessons are encouraged to join our orchestra. It is also possible to arrange musical instrument hire.
Those interested in sports are involved regularly in lunch and afternoon practices, games and matches. Our recent OFSTED commented on the outstanding range of out of class activities. Each term all pupils receive a leaflet on the many clubs, societies and activities which we run. This helps parents to plan their child’s week.
Other out-of-class clubs and activities include Art, Dance, Drama, Tactical Games and Crafts, as well as residential trips. We also have a tradition of successful completion of the annual Ten Tors weekend.
Through the School Council we decide which charities to support by taking part in sponsored events such as the annual sports mile event involving over 1800 pupils from Pilton and other local schools.
